Jerry leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Jerry’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Jerry will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Jean McMurtrey; his children, Michael McMurtrey (Betty), Susan Gregory (Walt), Mark McMurtrey (Ivy), Sandra Ufen and Chris McMurtrey; and his sister June Ashmos (late Ted).
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel (65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423).
