He was predeceased by: his parents, John Leman and Sarah Evelyn Cumbee; his son Kevin Michael; and his sisters, Wanda Christenson and Judy Sierakowski.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy "Pat"; his sister Marilyn Mcllvoy (Jim); and his children, Connie Mezera (Dave), Debbie Jett (Jim), Vicky Roach (Bill), Sue Jones (Russ), Kathy Hassert (Justin), John III (Cynthia), Tom (Karen) and Greg Mensik (Patricia). He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel (65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
