He was predeceased by: his parents, Baldevbhai Patel and Manglaben Patel; and his siblings, Hiraben Desai and Bhanumati Desai. He is survived by: his spouse Yasodaben K. Patel; his children, Chinmay (Sonal), Vikas (Mamta) and Viraj Patel (Dhaval); his grandchildren, Jasmine, Tanvi, Dev, Payal, Ishaan and Ashika; and his siblings, Prafull Patel, Jayanti Patel, Usha Patel, Bhagirathi Patel, Shanti Patel and Tarangika Patel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
