He is survived by: his children, JoAnn Azar (Sam) and Stephen Hotkiewicz; his grandchildren, Rebecca Pollock (Ben), Jamil Azar (Brittany), Shady Azar (Hayley), Alex Burda, Jazmin Ellis (Benjamin), Thomas Burda, Laith Azar and Crystal Vanwhite; his great grandchildren, Alan, Josie and Colton; and his siblings, Ray Brines (Diane) and Nancy Mullins (Walter).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rees Funeral Home (600 W Old Ridge Rd, Hobart, IN 46342). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (801 Michigan City Rd, Calumet City, IL 60409).
