We announce the death of Michael Johnson of Frankfort, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on June 2, 2026, at the age of 73. Michael will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his significant other Cathy Johnson (Basil); his siblings, Jacqueline Slawnikowski (late James), Robert Johnson (Nancy) and Diane Buoscio (late James); and his parents, Robert Johnson and Adeline Johnson.

He is survived by: his daughter Michaela Aguirre (Marco); his grandson Michael; and his siblings-in-law, Gretchen Schroeter, Dorie Piorkowski (Steve), Nancy Fase (late John) and William Vincent (Jeri).

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Veterans Hospital.
