He was predeceased by: his siblings, Marcie Mize (late Bill), Pat Potempa (Lou) and Fred Szum (late Rita); his brother-in-law Michael (late Rita); Patrick Glenn (Cheryl).
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his children, David Szum (Julie), Michelle Bowman (Glen) and Paul Szum (Paula); his grandchildren, Benjamin Szum, Samantha Thompson (Stephan), Jonas Szum, Jason Bowman (Chelsie), Andrew Bowman, Michael, Matthew and Brianna Szum; his great grandchildren, Nolan, Levi, Brady and Brooklyn; and his sister Bernadette Sims (Roger).
