He is survived by: his wife Kathy Lyman (Kohlstedt); his mother Dorothy Lyman (Maxa); his children, Alyssa Strait (Lucas) and Kaitlin Maurer (Kenny); his grandsons, Gavin Cole Maurer and Strait; his siblings, Michael Lyman (Liz) and Laura Beck (Michael); and his brother-in-law Michael Jackson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
