He was predeceased by: his son Robert P. Massat, Jr.; his son-in-law Scott Perkovich; his parents, Fred Massat and Florence Massat (Strand); his sister Mary Massat; and his sister-in-law Nancy Massat.

He is survived by: his wife Diana "Penny" Massat (Norbut); his children, Monica Tures (Matthew), Renee Perkovich, Jason Massat (Dianna) and Jeremy Massat; his grandchildren, Lauren, Abigail, Madeline, Austin and Alyssa; and his brothers, Fred Massat, Stanley Massat (Betty) and David Massat (Brenda). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic; services for Bob will be private, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the donor's choice would be appreciated.

“Family of bob and penny, i received word today, may 11, 2020, that you have lost bob. I am sad and pray that your family can believe that he is behind the wheel of his mercury in heaven. He was always one of my very favorite human beings. I always enjoyed seeing him these last few years as he had breakfast in the booth at the west end of country charm. He began my house build when he dug the hole for my house back in 1976. Prior to that , as nearly neighbors in midlothian. Prayers sent !”
