He is survived by: his children, Courtni Hughes-Bochenek (Joseph), Hali Hanson (Kent), Jackson Ramirez and Elli Ramirez; his grandchildren, Averi Hughes, Evander Hughes, Marlowe Bochenek, Kora Hanson, Tate Hanson, Drew Hanson and Evie Hanson; and his sisters, Diana Garibay (Jerry), Christine Torres, Sharon Janusz and Rosanna Slobodnik. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel (65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
