It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Charles William Grobe Sr. of Franklin Grove, Illinois, who passed away on November 10, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Maurice and Jennie Grobe (Glover); his former life partner Joyce L. Stallings; his granddaughter Madelyn Grobe; his brother Maurice Eugene Grobe; and his stepchildren, Kari Cooper and Keith David Wiegand.

He is survived by : his wife Diane Grobe of Franklin Grove; his children, Charles Grobe, Jr. (Beth), Benjamin Grobe (Heather), William Grobe (Melanie), Patricia Kohn (Richard) and Elizabeth Platt (Daniel); and his stepson Kevin M. Wiegand. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
