It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lowell Edward Schaefer of Franklin Grove, Illinois, born in Harmon, Illinois, who passed away on August 20, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Schaefer and Bessie Schaefer (Portner); his children-in-law, Stacy Schaefer and John Berchtold; his sisters, Bertha Kersten (Glenn) and Ida Schmidt (Robert); and his brother-in-law Kenneth Quinn.

He is survived by : his children, Warren Schaefer (Marion) of New Windsor, NY, Ronald Schaefer of Pine Bush, NY and Claudia Berchtold of Pine Bush, NY; his siblings, Orville Schaefer of Amboy, IL and Velma Mae Quinn of Sterling, IL; his grandchildren, Kelly DeCamp and Lynn Porter; and his great grandchildren, Tyler DeCamp, Travis DeCamp, Jada DeCamp, Dylan Porter and Logan Porter.
