With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert L. Mackey Sr. of Franklin Grove, Illinois, who passed away on September 17, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Mackey and Anna Mackey (Yoeckel); his grandson Jordan Michael Mackey; and his daughter-in-law Naomi Mackey (Riley). He is survived by: his children, Teresa Mey (Michael), Robert Mackey, Jr. (Karen), Corinna Gerdes (David) and Edward Mackey (Cindy Maloney); his grandsons, Ryan Mackey (Tara), Justin Mackey, Tyler Mey (Lauren) and Jonathan Gerdes (Alyssa); and his stepgrandchildren, David Wendel and Danielle Gilbert (Jason). He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Serenity Hospice & Home in Oregon, IL, and/or Franklin Grove Living & Rehabilitation Center.
