She was predeceased by : her husband Jose Carrera; her child Rocio Carrera Navar; her parents, Antonio Navar and Sofia Navar; and her siblings, Maria Zurita (Zenaido), Rosalina Martinez (Enrique), Raul Navar (Esperanza) and Juan Navar (Luz).

She is survived by : her daughter Josefina Villanueva; her grandchildren, Isaac Villanueva, Adrianna Tidwell (Darrell) and Rebecca Villanueva (Jose M. Gonzalez); her great grandchild Solella Tidwell; and her brother Miguel Navar (late Gloria).
