Patricia Palermo Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Patricia Palermo (Franklin Park, Illinois), who passed away on December 6, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Phillip Robert "Bob" Palermo; her daughter Gina Palermo; her parents, Werner "Dutch" Mukatis and Harriet Mukatis; and her brothers, George and Kenneth Mukatis.
She is survived by: her brother Alfred Mukatis (Susan); her children, Michael Palermo (Liz), Anthony Palermo (Lisa), Dawn DeBenedictis (Mike), Marianne Atherton (Bobby), Michelle Van Der Luit and Debbie Reed (Rick); her sibling's children, Natalie Mukatis, Michele Mukatis, Rachel Jones, Michael Mukatis and Lucius Jones (Ai); her grandchildren, Steven Palermo (Robin), Phillip Palermo (Gloria), Samantha Tracy (Joseph), Marissa Manny (Christian), Sam Atherton, Nick Atherton (Nikki), John Van Der Luit (Julissa), Alex Van Der Luit (Ryan), Jake Van Der Luit (Rebekah) and Marina Jones; and her great grandchildren, Gina Marie, Lincoln, Grayson, Bonnie, Callie, Colsen, Cooper, Sage, Kacey and Camilla.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the: Sax Tiedemann Funeral Home & Crematorium (9568 W Belmont Ave, Franklin Park, IL 60131). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A prayer will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Queen of Heaven Catholice Cemetery (1400 S Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL 60162).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catholic Charities USA or No Kid Hungry.
