He was predeceased by: his parents, Byron Reaka and Cornelia Reaka (Muelchi); his wife Beatrice Reaka (Peter); his brothers, Dale "Jake" Reaka (Ianza) and Donald Reaka; and his granddaughter Letha Joy Reaka.
He is survived by: his sons, Dwayne Reaka (Nancy) of Freeburg, IL, Bryan Reaka of Bowling Green, KY, Aaron Reaka (Emily) of Freeburg, IL and Clifton Reaka (Barb) of Swansea, IL; his grandchildren, Katie Luberda (Austin), Reverend Kyle Reaka, Lily Reaka (Dalton), Isabella Reaka (Peyton), Jimmy Davis (Sarah) and Jessica Tiemann (A. J.); his great grandchildren, Brayden Crutchfield, Baylee and Carsen Luberda; his brother Dean Reaka (Joan) of Troy, MO; and his sister-in-law Kay Reaka of Glen Carbon, IL. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 18th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home and Cremation Services (3412 Frank Scott Pkwy W, Belleville, IL 62223). A funeral service was held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society or to the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 24.
