He is survived by: his wife Susan "Susy"; his children, Krissy VanHoogstrate, Donald Rafalowski Jr., Jill Baudendistel (Dan) and Luke Rafalowski; his grandchildren, Jacob VanHoogstrate, Ben VanHoogstrate (Ashlynn), Michael VanHoogstrate, Dalton Morris, Blane Besse (Miranda), Sheridan Morris (Harrison), Brandon Rafalowski, Alexis Rafalowski, Elsa Baudendistel and Liesl Baudendistel; his sister Judy Chapman (Bob); his nephews, Brian Chapman Sr. and Darren Chapman (Dave); his great-nephew Brian Chapman Jr.; his former wife Sandy Rafalowski; and his pets, Maddie and Holly.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, May 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church (1910 W Belle St, Belleville, IL 62226).
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
