She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl J. McClenahan and Leona E. McClenahan; her former husband Willard F. Bachelier; her husband Robert F. VanConia; her siblings, Myron, Ronald, Curtis Bachelier and Juanita Cooper; and her sisters-in-law, Jacqueline Vogt, Marie Hooten, Verna Bachelier and Jean Polster.
She is survived by: her children, Peggy Hesse, Shirley Taake (Gene), Juanita "Jo" Reuter (Craig), Brent VanConia (Ann) and Dianne VanConia; her grandchildren, Jennifer Snell (Dan), Jimmy Hesse, Emily Derry (Brian), John Reuter, Marie Russell (Jeff), Jessie Yount (Matt), David Hesse, Matt VanConia (Grace), Elle Ruhwedel (Chad) and Abby Hoyt (Chase); her sister Peggy Studt; and her friend Leslie Sundermann. She is also survived by great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Quernheim Funeral Home (800 S Market St, Waterloo, IL 62298). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at the St. Paul Evangelical Cemetery.
