We are sad to announce that, on October 22, 2025, at the age of 84, MaryLou Holcomb of Freeburg, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred VandeRiet and Theresa M. VandeRiet; her husband Loren F. Holcomb, Sr.; her brother Leroy VandeRiet; and her son-in-law Terry Black.
She is survived by: her children, Theresa Black-Holcomb, Glenda Dent (Mark), Lori Baker (Michael) and Loren "Fritz" Holcomb, Jr. (Anne); her grandchildren, Momo, Jamie Williams, Jessie Esker, Joel Esker (Alli), Julie Rohr (Eric), Josh Lawrence, Luke Johnson, Kyle Johnson (Mikel), Chad Baker, Whitney Peters (Nathan), Dalton Baker, Delany Baker, Abby Holcomb, Lauren Holcomb and Brett Holcomb; her sister Shirley Mitchell; and her pet Sonny. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends.
As an expression of sympathy, the family prefers memorial contributions to: Belleville Humane Society.
