He was predeceased by: his parents, Clemens (Myrtle) and Stroh; and his sisters, Mary Ann Van Pelt (Harold) and Anna Mae Veath (Robert). He is survived by: his wife Carol Stroh; his daughters, Jeannette Saak (Fernando Lusk), Megan Javier (Vicente) and Amanda Lane (Kyle); his grandchildren, Brett Saak, Brendan Saak, Zachariah Lusk, Chloe Javier and Charles Lane; and his great grandchild Thea Saak. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, May 17th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, May 18th 2026 from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM at the George Renner & Sons Funeral Home (120 N Illinois St, Belleville, IL 62220). A funeral service was held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the Millstadt Senior Center.
