With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sara Luberda of Freeburg, Illinois, born in Belleville, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 26, 2026 at the age of 46. She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Paul J., Gert Amann, Lewis and Claudine Abbott; her grandparents-in-law, Andrew and Helen Luberda; and her aunts and uncles, Janie Abbott, Lewis Abbott, Jr., Paul (Debbie Amann) and Margie (Jack Amann).
She is survived by: her husband Nathan Luberda; her father Richard (Barbara); her siblings, Peter Amann (Jennifer) and Kristin Fox; her parents-in-law, Daniel and Susan Luberda; her siblings-in-law, Ashley Hynes (Douglas), Austin Luberda (Katie) and Riley Luberda (Ashley); her uncles, Tim Abbott, Don Amann and Charlie Amann (Mary); her aunt Joyce Grice (Kirk); her nieces and nephews, Avery, Tyler Amann, Kaleb McDavid, Miles Hynes, Baylee, Carsen, Alexander and Madelyn Luberda; and her pet Bullet.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, April 30th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church (1910 W Belle St, Belleville, IL 62226). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, April 30th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
