With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara J. Phillips of Freeport, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 31, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Steimle III and Helen Steimle (Sullivan); her brother George Steimle IV; her siblings-in-law, Carl Sanford and Doris Steimle; her son-in-law Ron Brant; and her great grandchild Alexander Kerr.
She is survived by: her children, Vicki Rouzan (Jay) of Greenfield, WI, Penny Brant (Ron) of Monroe, WI and Jim Phillips (Tracy Mays) of Freeport, IL; her grandchildren, Carrie Knutti (Ryan Baal) of Freeport, IL, Stephanie Roberts of Rockton, IL, Amy Houston of Forreston, IL, Adam Brant (Beth) of Freeport, IL, Jason Brant (Leah) of Dubuque, IA and Shawn Brant of Monroe, WI; her sisters, Frances Sanford of Auburn and Kay Kleckler (Kelly) of Phoenix, AZ; and her nephews, Kristopher Warren of Phoenix, AZ, Charles Steimle and John Steimle of Washington. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
