With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carol J. Denekas of Freeport, Illinois, born in Leaf River, Illinois, who passed away on August 15, 2023 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl W. Bolen and Sylvia Bolen (Cain); her brothers, Marvin Bolen and Calvin Bolen; her parents-in-law, Marvin and Laura Denekas (Janssen); her brothers-in-law, Warren Denekas (Hattiejane Denekas) and Gerald Denekas; and her son-in-law Allen Kuper.
She is survived by: her husband Harold Denekas; her children, Sharon Baier (Roland), Pamela Kuper (Bob Kubatzke), Rodney Denekas and Jeffrey Denekas (Angela Ash); and her sisters-in-law, Kay Bolen of Byron, IL and Marge Denekas of Durand, IL. She is also survived by 7 granddaughters, 2 grandsons, 6 great-granddaughters, 10 great-grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Silver Creek Reformed Church and FHN Hospice.
