He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Gillingham and Myra Gillingham; his siblings, Robert Gillingham, Richard Gillingham (Donna), Mavis Disch (Richard) and Mary Bowen; his in-laws, Relman and Florence DeVries; and his brother-in-law Leon Gasmund.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra; his children, David Gillingham (April) of Freeport, IL, Daniel Gillingham (Emily) of Freeport, IL, Teresa Meyer (Kevin) of Forreston, IL and Nancy Maize (Philip) of Freeport, IL.; his granddaughter Amber Kim (Jay); his great grandchild Samuel of Celebration, FL.; his grandson Andrew Gillingham (Sarah); his great grandchildren, Thomas, Braeden, William, Gemma of Wake Forest, SC, Anthony Gillingham of Pittsburg, PA, Aaron Gillingham (Alexandria), Austin, Alec, Arek Gillingham, Zachary Meyer (Krystal), Benjamin Meyer (Samantha), Brittney Meyer of Greer, SC, Michael Meyer of Kearney, NE, Jayson Maize (Moira Loring) of Freeport, IL, Jennifer Maize (Devon Lawrence) of Machesney Park, IL, Adam, Rachel, Caleb and Rebekah Gillingham; his sisters-in-law, Myrna Lohman (Mark) and Darlene Maaske (John); Elliot, Nicholas of Youngstown, NC, Kolby, Liam, Kallie of Blackhawk, CO, Jaxon and Hudson of Vancleave, MS. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Baileyville Baptist Church (303 Franklin, Baileyville, IL 61007).
