He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lapp and Marian Lapp (Trimble); his stepson James Jacobs; and his sons-in-law, David Haley and Scott Thayer.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Lapp (Herold) of Freeport; his children, Julie Hendricks (Tim) of Sterling, IL, Dawn Thayer of Sterling, IL, Brian Lapp of Milledgeville, IL and Kelly Lapp of Milledgeville, IL; and his sisters, Vonda James of Milledgeville, IL and Nancy Humphrey (Kurt) of Battle Ground. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
