It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Gerard Nilles (Freeport, Illinois), who passed away on April 6, 2026, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Nilles and Marcella Nilles (McPoland); his parents-in-law, Audrey and LaVern Mullarky; his siblings, Arlene, Lois, Emil, Dale, Roger and Roland; and his son-in-law Thomas Meyers.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Nilles (Lulu), Elizabeth Meyers, Wendy Wilson (Randy) and Amy Kane (Tim Rademaker); his wife Carol Ann Mullarky; his brother Mark Nilles; his siblings-in-law, Joan and Richard Hellmer; his grandchildren, Nichole Brunson (Matt), Kyle Meyers, Kourtney Meyers, Haley Auer (Cory), Sidney Kingery (Gaven), Hannah Martin, Sami Byers (Mack) and Nicholas Kane (Abby); and his great grandchildren, Audrina, Parker, Reese, Bryson, Paisley, Carter, Natalee, Lucas, Seifer, Jaxen, Raiden, Marley and Lucy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for St. Vincent DePaul in Mr. Nilles memory.
