He was predeceased by: his parents, Georgette Feuerborn and Raymond Feuerborn; his parents-in-law, Myrna and William Veer; his brother Ray Feuerborn; his son-in-law Gideon Bastian; and his brothers-in-law, Charles "Bud" Veer, Karl Veer, Frank Veer, Bill Veer, Gene Barthel, Benny Quintero and Ruppert Dean.
He is survived by: his friend Sam Veer; his sister Charity; his grandsons, Ryne and Paxton; his caregiver Charity (Chat) of Freeport; his daughters, Brandi Bastian (late Gideon) of Orangeville and Lisa Hastings (Jerry Hoppe) of Ottawa; his grandchildren, Brooke Droddy (Dane), Kristen Springston (Matt), Joel Sobba (Ashley Fermyn) and Colton Sobba (Janet); his son Larry Stussie (Lori) of Lawrence; his grandchildren, Andrew, Cameron and Noah Stussie; his son Ken Bissell Jr. of Orangeville; his granddaughters, Amanda Feltmeyer (Caleb) and Kaitlyn McNutt (Jared); his son Steven Bissell (Gari Lynne Reed) of McConnell; his grandchildren, Nick Reed, Britta Bissell and Oskar Bissell; his great grandchildren, Case, Laila and Kashton Sullivan; his siblings, Joni Mitchell (Mark), Hubert Feuerborn (Cheryl Smith), Ron Veer, John Veer (Judy), Doug Veer (Kathy), Sherry Veer, Ernie Veer, Neva Barthel and Beatrice "Peachie" Dean; his close friends, Jon Peterson and Dan Stichter; his daughters, Mandi Gipson (Bryan), Amy Carmack (Phil), Katie Prue (Jason Brummett) and Dezirae Zook; his sisters-in-law, Monique Veer, Juanita Veer, Shirley Veer and Rosie Quintero; and his great grandchild Briana Sobba.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, December 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Church of the Nazarene (125 E Empire St, Freeport, IL 61032). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been designated in his name in care of Charity Sullivan.
