He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Sager and Leona Sager (Herbig); his brother Earl "Mick" Sager; and his brother-in-law Gaylord Swanson. He is survived by: his wife Sandy McKee; his children, Scott Sager (Leslie Jacobs) and Tracy Meier; his grandchildren, Kara Wagand (Ryan), Reid Alber (Josh), Kaylee Sager (Owen Johnson), Cade Meier (Ally Hasken) and Shay Sager; his great grandchildren, Grey Alber, Ky Wagand, Waylon, Cash and Millie Johnson; and his sisters-in-law, Laurel Rohrs (Peter) and Sandra Jo Sager. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 4:00 PM at 8722 N Shady View Rd, Dakota, IL 61018.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in his memory.
