Edward J. Weir Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward J. Weir of Freeport, Illinois, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on July 24, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Weir and Irene Weir (Epstein); his sister Eleanor; his brother-in-law Al "Boots" Sismour; his son Chet M. Weir; his parents-in-law, Alex and Helen Dubow; and his siblings-in-law, Edward Dubow and Mary Ann Dubow.

He is survived by: his former wife Kathleen Dubow; his wife Kathleen "Kay" Weir; his children, Edward Weir (Shirley), Keith Weir (Joy) and Moira Palmer (Kim); and his brothers, Robert Weir (Marie), Barry Weir (Regina) and James Weir. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
