The memory of Ethel M. Swanstrom of Freeport, Illinois, who passed away on June 18, 2025 at the age of 97, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Becker and Frances Becker (Tholen); her brother Calvin; her siblings-in-law, Marion Becker and Chuck Larson; her grandson Nathan Estep; and her great grandchild Jeremy Morrow.
She is survived by: her husband Bob; her children, Linda Estep (Carl), Ron Swanstrom (Jill) and Brian Swanstrom (Diane); her grandchildren, Wendy Cash (Jeremy), Brittany Fenwick (Nolan), Benjamin Estep, Brianne Greenhow (Brock), Leslie Estep and Kelly Estep; her great grandchildren, Melody Estep (Xander Hunstable), Elizabeth, Annabelle Cash, Finnegan, Lennon Fenwick, Isla, Knox Greenhow and Brian Morrow; her great great grandchildren, Eliana Hunstable, Jenna and Jaycee Morrow; and her sister Loretta Larson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Grace Valley Christian Reformed Church (8210 E Edwardsville Rd, German Valley, IL 61039). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established in Ethel's name for FHN Hospice and Oakley Courts Assisted Living.
