Franklin B. Veer Sr. Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on October 19, 2020, at the age of 92, Franklin B. Veer Sr. of Freeport, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William M. Veer and Myrna Marie Veer (Dyson); his siblings, Rosemary Quintero, Charles "Bud" Veer, William "Bill" Veer and Karl Veer; and his siblings-in-law, Benny Quinter, Edward "Dutch" Gaulrapp, Eugene Barthel, Ken Bissell, Hiram "Butch" Schmitz, Juanita Veer, Monique Veer, Charity Veer, Eileen Veer and Evelyn Veer.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon "Sheri" Veer; his sons, Dr. Franklin "Frankie" Veer Jr. (Tami) of Joplin, Michael "Mike" Veer of Portland, Robert Veer (Debra) of Freeport, David Veer (Jill) of Freeport and Donald "Doc" Veer (Stephanie) of Freeport; his stepson Richard "Rick" Gordon Sr. (Sherry) of Freeport; his daughter Pamela Dunlavey (Patrick) of Lanark; his grandchildren, Christopher Schweigert, Josh and Mary Ostrom; his siblings, Ernest Veer (Shirley), Sam Veer (Sandy), Ronald Veer, Ralph Veer (Kathy), John Veer, Neva Barthel, Charity Sullivan (Dave) of Freeport, Beatrice "Peachie" Dean of Martin and Grace Heck (Rockie) of Winslow; and his nephew William "Billy" Bumford.
