He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Diehl and Nellie Diehl; his siblings, Marilyn, Muriel and Alan Diehl; his son Michael Diehl; and his grandchildren, Jason Phillips, Jeffrey Ebert and Samantha Parker.
He is survived by: his daughters, DeAnn Phillips (Frank), Susanne Parker (Mark) of Sycamore, Illinois, Bonnie Weber of Rockford and Penny Schindler (Daniel) of Baraboo. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
