He was predeceased by: his parents, Sireno Mendoza and Maria Mendoza (Morales); his brother Adolfo Mendoza Morales; and his close friend John Dzwonkowski. He is survived by: his wife Gloria; his daughters, Rita Bravo (Manuel) and Celia David (Mohammad); his grandchildren, Santiago Bravo (Bianey), Antonio Bravo (Jasmine), Victoria Bravo and Sarah David; his great grandchild Ellie; his brother Eleazar Mendoza; his nieces and nephews, Adrian Mendoza, Juan Medrano and Nachies Medrano; and his close friend Jose Contreras (Maria).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family to be used in Joe's name at a later date.
