He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell Oxley and Eva Oxley (Cabeen); his brother-in-law Steve Boggess; his parents-in-law, Millard and Mary Janssen; his sister-in-law Sharon Cowan; and his great-niece Emma Kate Schultz.

He is survived by: his wife Diane Janssen; his children, Rachel Oxley (Ryan Blake) and Ron Oxley (Caroline); his grandchildren, Jayden Blake, Jorden Blake-Oxley, Meadow Oxley and Lila Oxley; his sisters, Carol Boggess, Maureen Drake (Paul), Mary Oxley and Wilma Schuermann (Vic); and his friend Dave Becker. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

A memorial has been established in his memory.
