Ida M. Saar-Hutchison Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ida M. Saar-Hutchison (Freeport, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 5, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Antonio Vittorio and Mary Vittorio (Lauri); her husband George Saar; her siblings, Paul, Phillip, Mimino Vittorio and Linnette Zanis; her daughters, Catherine Ross and Laurie Ludolph; and her great grandchild Joseph Lauzon.
She is survived by: her children, Lawrence Saar (Barbara A.), David Saar (Anna), Barbara J. Saar (Brian Sneed) and Mary Meier (Nate); her sons-in-law, Ken Ross and Keith Ludolph; her grandchildren, Steve Stachorek, Christine Lauzon, Michelle Whitman, Justin Saar, Jeremy Saar, Leslie Gitz, David Gitz, Dawn Hart, Scott Meier, Todd Meier, Natalie Haas, Michael Ross, Alison Glendenning, Erika Ludolph, Andrea Larson and Sarah Marsh; and her stepchildren, James Hutchison, Janet Scriven and Mary Jane Hutchison.
A memorial has been established in Ida's name for the Highland Community College Nursing Program.
