We announce the death of Jean M. Thornlund of Freeport, Illinois, who passed away on August 14, 2026, at the age of 93. Jean will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Conrad Winter and Louise Winter (Hodgson); her husband Stuart Thornlund; and her siblings, June Lockner, Ellen Vickers, Donald Winter and Glenn Winter.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cindy Vondran (Larry) of Janesville and Sue Steele (Duane) of Cedarville, Illinois.; her granddaughters, Betsy Gilpin (Greg) of Fuquay-Varina, Katie Smith (Joel Wagand) of Freeport, Illinos and Summer Flowers (Mark) of Cary; and her sisters, Shirley Wurster of Elizabeth and Barb Cromwell of Monroe Wisconsin.
