She was predeceased by: her parents, George Frederick and Rosa Frederick (Hart); her siblings, Lucille Holland, Marcella Gaul, Marjorie Frederick, Wayne, Walter, Russell, Lloyd and Paul Frederick; and her stepgreat-grandson Alexander Kerr.

She is survived by: her son Kevin Gerloff of Freeport; her stepchildren, Larry Pfile (Sally) of Freeport, IL, Marlene Hardaway of Clyde, NC, Margie Siebert-Armstrong (Tim) of Henderson, NE and Dean Pfile (Coleen) of Freeport, IL; and her sister Opal Ritzman of Lena, IL. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established in her memory.

“I will surely miss joyce on my route. Unfortunately because of covid, i was unable to see her since march, joyce was always so friendly to me. I will miss her, and i'm sure my father will as well, as he delivered to her as well before me. Delivering for n.i.c.a.a has kept us all in touch with the elderly in our community, and it's never easy to see any of our clients pass. God bless. -justin”
