It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Judy M. Nortridge-McLinn of Freeport, Illinois, who passed away on August 15, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Barkau and Esther Barkau (Holt); her former husband Vale Nortridge; her son John J. Jackowski; her son-in-law Kirk Alber; her stepchildren, Dana Ewers, Charlotte McLinn and Christopher McLinn; and her brothers, John R. Barkau and Floyd Barkau.
She is survived by: her husband Duane McLinn of Freeport, IL; her children, Wayne Jackowski (Carol) of German Valley, IL, Jim Jackowski (Heather) of Machesney Park, IL, Tommy Jackowski (Danell) of St. Charles, IL, Beth Jackowski (Rodney Bennett) of Menasha, WI and Amy Spickler (Tim) of Cedarville, IL; her grandchildren, Jennika Dawson (Andy), Erik Alber, Asher Jackowski and Milo Jackowski; her great grandchildren, Raelynn Dawson and Rylee Dawson; her stepchildren, Barry McLinn (Marie), Charlene McLinn, Marlene Kleckler (Brad), Kirk Nortridge, Kevin Nortridge (Janice) and Kim Stempel (Terry); her brothers, Wayne Barkau (Nell) and Jim Barkau (Barb); and her adoptive son Larry Rhea. She is also survived by several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established in her memory.
