He is survived by: his wife Jo Kirk (Lamm); his nephew Eric Kirk of Freeport, IL; his stepchildren, Rob Meinert (Sami) of Geneva, IL, Jessica Meinert of Woodridge, IL and Amber Peterson (Richard) of Machesney Park, IL; his great-nephew Landon Kirk; his grandchildren, Luca Meinert, Nolan Meinert and Brynlee Rhymer; his siblings-in-law, Jan Lamm, Jeff Lamm (Kathy) and Jay Lamm (Angie); and his aunts, Alice Trusley (Jim) and Diane Walker (Gail).
A memorial has been established for the National Kidney Foundation and American Diabetes Association.
