We announce the death of Leon D. Wilhelms of Freeport, Illinois, who passed away on June 10, 2026, at the age of 83. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wilhelms and Helen Wilhelms (Moss); his wife Maureen Smith; and his brother Arnie. He is survived by: his children, John Wilhelms of Freeport, IL and Dawn Levins (Steve) of South Beloit; his grandchildren, Alaina Levins (Ryan) of Caledonia, IL and Robert Levins of Rockton, IL; and his sisters, Rexanna Lamm of Freeport and Karen O'Connor of Freeport. He is also survived by his daughter, her family, and his beloved grandchildren.
