It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marian D. Taber of Freeport, Illinois, who passed away on October 24, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Orville Croffoot and Blanche Croffoot (Krise); her former husband Jack Taber; and her siblings, Merle Croffoot, Wayne Croffoot, Gerald "Judd" Croffoot, Thelma Entmeier and Eileen Hubb.

She is survived by: her fiancé Edwin Hawley of Freeport; her foster daughter Merlene Prachniak of Lewisville, TX; Andy Hawley (Leslie) and Mark Hawley (Terese). She is also survived by grandchildren; and 5 foster great grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews.

A memorial fund has been established in her name for Bethany UCC.
