She is survived by: her husband David Rice of Freeport, IL; and her brother Ken Smith (Kristy) of Crystal Lake, IL. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and their children.
A memorial has been established for the All Veterans Memorial Park of Stephenson County and Friends Forever Humane Society in Freeport.
