She is survived by: her children, John Scholten, Julie Ganser (Greg) of Sun Prairie, WI, Tim Scholten (Renay) of Shreveport, LA, Art Scholten (Marjorie) of Runnells, IA, Dan Scholten (Paula) and Dave Scholten of Katy, TX.; her brother Arthur Herendeen; and her grandchildren, Gabe, Dan, Emma, Matt, Shay-Marie, Sarah, Stanley, Sam, Tony, Axel and Violet.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church (1400 Kiwanis Dr, Freeport, IL 61032). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the Oakland Cemetery (2619 W Pearl City Rd, Freeport, IL 61032).

A memorial fund will be established in her name at St. Jude's Children Hospital.
