She was predeceased by : her parents, Eaton Yokers and Florence Yokers (Bertram); and her nephew Andrew Yokers. She is survived by : her son Chad Lassiter; her grandchildren, Payton Lassiter, Emerson Lassiter, Oliver Lassiter and Calvin Lassiter; and her pet Shade.

A memorial has been established in her name at St. John United Church of Christ in Freeport.
