She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Cowan and Ethel Mae Cowan (Branthaver); her husband Elmer; her daughter Kathleen Coates; and her siblings, Richard Cowan and Doris Rapp.
She is survived by: her daughter Linda Monehan (Larry) of Freeport, IL; her stepdaughter Penny Brandt of Monroe, WI; and her grandchildren, Jeff Leverington (Melissa), Danny Halzel (Stephanie), Angie Riggle (Shane) and Jason Leverington (Bonnie). She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Burke Tubbs Funeral Home - Freeport (504 N Walnut Ave, Freeport, IL 61032). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
