He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell K. Kohl and Elsie Kohl (Knodle); his wife Barbara Jo; his uncle Robert Knodle (Bob); his aunt Leola Tewel (Peg); and his in-laws, Robert and Evelyn Squires (Gale).
He is survived by: his aunt Priscilla Knodle (Watson); his cousin Linda Knodle; his sister-in-law Kathy Wise (Shirl); and his niece-in-law Lori Castle. He is also survived by several cousins and aunt.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Grandview Cemetery (2436 IL-26, Freeport, IL 61032). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, Freeport, Illinois.
