Shirley A. Mergen Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 22, 2025, at the age of 86, Shirley A. Mergen (Freeport, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Ernest Bonne and Marjorie Lucille Bonne (Barnett); her husband Ronald Mergen; her sister Sandra Langley of Pecatonica; her sons, David Babcock and Mark Babcock; and her mother-in-law Phyllis McLain.
She is survived by: her children, Richard C. Babcock (Melody Babcock) and Kristy McCartney (Richard Penticoff); her grandchildren, Chad, Nick, Thomas, Nicole, Tiffany and Stephanie; and her great grandchildren, Chyanna, Levi, Mason, Nolan, DaNesiyah and Dreyah. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
