Sonia Kahler Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sonia Kahler of Freeport, Illinois, who passed away on November 24, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Serge Rochon and Claire Rochon (Holzausen). She is survived by: her children, Serge Rochon, Frederick Kahler, Michael Kahler, Suzanne Kerfoot, Valerie Cordova, Francoise Rundall and Denise Cardwell; and her pet Lucy. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Walker Mortuary (321 W Main St, Freeport, IL 61032). A committal service was held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens (2514 IL-26, Freeport, IL 61032).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation or to Kidney Research.
