Valliana May Obituary
Valliana (Pehl) May "Val" 72 of Freeport passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on January 23, 2022. She was born in Freeport, October 5, 1949 to Elmer and Ella Mae (Strohecker) Pehl. Val was a loving and caring woman and especially loved children, having many babysitting jobs and working as a teachers aid for the Freeport School District.
She is survived by the love of her life Tom May of Freeport. Her two children Dan (Jean) Pehl of Stockton and Janelle Vogt of Freeport. Five brothers Duane - Gardenia, CA, Eddie (Karen) - Monroe, WI, Elmer (Karen) - Freeport, Darryl (Christy) - Monroe, WI, Joe (Louise) Bullhead, AZ, 10 grandchildren Justin Simpson May, Seth Roberts, Josh (Sarah) Dearth, Cora (Kent) Reuber, Jorgia Vogt, Rebecca Pehl, Brandon, Bryson, Boden and Braxton Vogt, 6 great-grandchildren Layla, Jaylen and Journee May, Josiah and Nehemiah Reuber, and Ezekiel Bachynski, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A small gathering of family and friends will be held at a future date. Cremation rites to be accorded.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to offset expenses.
