Velma Jane will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. She was predeceased by: her parents, Reinhard Habben and Vera Habben (Pierce); and her husband William R. Norton, Jr.. She is survived by: her sons, Jim Norton (Heather Cornelius) and Jeff Norton (Angie); her granddaughters, Grace Norton (Nick Brown) and Emma Hendrie (Dan); and her sisters, Judy Burmeister, Beverly Ethridge and Donna Arduin.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bethel United Methodist Church (217 S Hickory St, Shannon, IL 61078). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
