It is with sadness that the passing of Wayne Smith of Freeport, Illinois is shared. Wayne, born on April 7, 1945, passed away on August 21, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Smith and Georgia Ruth Pulfrey; his daughter Kelly; and his grandchildren, Dorothy and Kody.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Newman; his children, Chris (Lisa), Georgia (Jason) and Matt (Star); his son-in-law Mike; his brother Larry; his grandchildren, Dakota, Jeneva, Mikey, Matt, Kyle, Kevin, Lane, Dani, Andrea, Maria and Michael; and his great grandchildren, Cedric, Mila Natalie, Karma Volta, Alvin and Deklin.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church (1400 Kiwanis Dr, Freeport, IL 61032). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
